"Capturing Special Moments in Time"
Frank Baltich is a San Francisco Bay Area photographer specializing in landscape and nature photography of Northern California and the Pacific Northwest. His wife Mary provides artistic counsel and is his business partner. They started Frank's Photos in 1997.
Frank first got interested in photography as a hobby while in college when he took a summer job that allowed him to travel the Rocky Mountains and Pacific Northwest. He always had a love of the outdoors since growing up in the north woods of Minnesota. Capturing this beauty on film
(digital) provided a means of sharing it with others. For a while his interests shifted to other hobbies and his photography went dormant, but in 1997 the bug bit him again.
Mary used her artistic talents and marketing savvy to take advantage of Frank's renewed interest in photography. She began to produce notecards from his photographs that were rapidly piling up in their home. At first she started selling these notecards at craft shows and as time went on the business expanded into retail stores in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Please visit their photo gallery where over
400 images are on display. There is an especially large selection from the San Francisco Bay Area and Yosemite National Park ... Frank's special love.
In late 2004 Frank switched from film to digital and now shoots a
Canon 1Ds Mark II 16.7 mega-pixel camera.
